Hi, I’m Anna. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Coach who is passionate about helping people feel more connected to themselves, supported, and capable of creating meaningful change in their lives.
I have always known I wanted to work in a field where I could help people. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in early childhood development as a preschool teacher, infant and toddler developmental specialist, and director of a childhood development center. Those experiences helped shape the way I understand people and the impact that early life experiences can have later on in life.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from George Mason University in 2016 and spent several years working in different levels of care including: residential, intensive outpatient, intensive in-home and private practice supporting teens and adults struggling with eating disorders/disordered eating, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD and ASD. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2021 and opened my practice.
A large part of my work has focused on eating disorders and disordered eating. I chose to specialize in that area because I am very passionate about supporting teens and adult women who are often suffering in silence. A big part of that passion comes from my own history of having an eating disorder. I really wanted to bring that lived experience into the work I do and help others feel less alone in what can be such an isolating battle.
Over the years, my practice has expanded to also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, ADHD, relationship issues, and life transitions. I utilize a strengths-based and collaborative approach, meaning we work together to better understand what’s going on, build on what’s already working, and develop tools that help clients move forward with more confidence and self-awareness.
I also value working collaboratively with other professionals, including: psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, dietitians, therapists, and school counselors, to provide comprehensive and holistic care to my clients.
I am passionate about continuing education to learn and grow in my work. Currently, I am working towards becoming a certified grief movement guide, which focuses on using movement, breath, and sound to help process emotions and support healing.
At the core of everything I do is the belief that people are capable of growth, healing, and change and that they deserve a compassionate space to explore that process without judgment.
